ls /dev/cu.* Working on the Mac is totally possible in AP but if you intend to push the hobby toward more and more complexity and are eventually going to want everything automated you may want to work with a Windows machine. Moving from DSLR’s toward mono CCD’s will influence this as well. Whether or not you want to make the switch on either is the question. If not, feel free to PM me for more Mac advice. I eventually realized that I didn’t want the computer that I depended on for my work ( and for which I paid $2,500+ for) sitting outside overnight time and time again, when a lousy $225 Windows laptop would do the job. At this stage, as I mentioned above I managed to sort out some issues while I am testing others. I think the key issue is connecting the USB cables directly to your Mac. Using a USB hub gave me issues. I am testing several setups and at the moment I managed to get some working.
